During the Hollis Holiday Luminaria Stroll on Sat. Dec. 12, 2020 be sure to come by the "Take Home" Community Chili & Cornbread Supper and the Luminaria Bake Sale from 4-6pm outside on the lawn at the Congregational Church of Hollis in Monument Square! Come pick up some delicious home cooking, complete with festive holiday music on our sound system!
"Take Home" Chili & Cornbread Supper
- Your choice of:
- Traditional Beef Chili
- White Chicken Chili
- Vegetarian Bean Chili (Gluten-Free)
- Cornbread with your chili
- For dessert, the Luminaria Bake Sale is at the same location (see below)
- First come, first served, as long as the chili lasts
- Pre-packaged to "grab and go" for heating at home
- Pre-orders appreciated, though not required. Send email with order to chilisupper@HollisLuminaria.org with quantity and chili choice(s). Please include name and cell phone number.
- Donations gratefully accepted to support the new Squires Community Patio and renovated Community Gathering Spaces
Luminaria Bake Sale
In the tradition of the annual Hollis Town Band Holiday Concert intermission, tasty desserts and hot chocolate will be available at the church bake sale (individually wrapped or pre-packaged box/plates). Proceeds to benefit the Deacon's Fund to purchase turkeys and complete-meal necessities for the 40-50 holiday food boxes provided to needy families in Hollis-Brookline, at Marguerite's Place and the Toll Street Mission.
Canned Food Donations
Donations of non-perishable canned goods are also being collected, for the holiday food boxes for needy families mentioned above.
