	The Basics
	
		- Individuals, families, and groups can enter.
- To enter the contest, please bring your gingerbread house to the 
		Lawrence Barn on Depot Road in Hollis on Sat. Dec. 14, 2024 between 1:00pm-2:00pm.
- Winners will be announced at the tree lighting ceremony in Monument 
		Square at 4:00pm that same day.  Also, the winning names and 
		gingerbread house photos will be posted to the main page of this web 
		site that evening.
- Please pick up your gingerbread house at 6:30pm 
		that day 
		at Lawrence Barn to take it home.
Gingerbread House Requirements & Information
	
		- Houses can be built out of any material (cardboard, tacky glue, 
		etc.) but all exterior 
		decoration must be edible materials such as candy, nuts, cereal, 
		cookies, crackers, pretzels, pasta.  Lollipop sticks are allowed.
- Main structure can be constructed of either gingerbread or graham 
		cracker.  Original creations are encouraged, but purchased kits are 
		certainly acceptable and will be judged separately (see categories, 
		below).
- Houses may be any structure (house, church, barn, school, train, 
		airplane, etc.).
- One entry per individual, family, or group.
Judging Categories
	Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd 
	place in each of the following categories:
	
		- Individuals, under Age 10 from kits
- Individuals, under Age 10 from scratch
- Individuals, Ages 11-16 from kits
- Individuals, Ages 11-16 from scratch
- Ages 17+
- Families or Groups
In addition, there will be a People's Choice Award, 
	voted on by the visitors in attendance!
